Facility Centric Consulting

We focus upon aligning your data center strategy with your business priorities. Strategy development requires an understanding of C-level goals and sensitivities. We specialize in having these conversations. We also have the technical knowledge to delve into IT and facility centric details that drive strategy decisions. We provide insightful advice at all levels of the organizational structure.

Whether you are planning to build a data center or search for a third-party provider (colocation, managed services, cloud, etc.), we can save you time, money, and frustration. At Fodere, we have over three decades of experience in data center related projects. As technology and delivery models change, we stay current enabling our clients to tap into our expertise on an as-needed basis.

We work with organizations to ensure the robustness of their data centers. Clients tap into our expertise to address the myriad of concerns they might have, including site, architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, security, monitoring, maintenance, etc. We can address all disciplines or simply one depending on client needs.

A new Data Center - What will it look like? How much will it cost? How long will it take? Those are the key questions executives, and your board, will ask. You want to get this right and a well-produced conceptual plan will do that. Fodere can get you answers without a significant investment.

All organizations do capacity planning. Our clients seek guidance to challenge how they are currently doing it or want our expertise in building a tool for them that can be easily used for planning and modeling. They may not have invested in DCIM and require an interim tool until they do. Capacity planning is a key issue during an acquisition. We have experienced situations in which IT takes an uninformed approach to capacity potentially costing their organizations’ millions.

We have developed a process for investigating maintenance programs. It combines rigorous review of SOWs, written processes, schedules, and contracts with site surveys and personnel interviews of internal staff. It can be extended to include your vendor’s technicians and field support staff.

We manage the disposition of all critical assets – generator, electrical gear, UPS, PDUs, CRACs, heat rejection units, fire suppression systems, access floor, racks, etc. We will create a web-based decommissioning plan that you can monitor 7x24 and enable you to address more pressing matters.
