Data Center Decommissioning

Most executives think that getting rid of a Data Center is easy. You know otherwise and are well aware of all of the complex systems. If you are in a leased building, most often the terms of your lease require the space to be returned to its original condition. Even if that is not the case, it poses a risk for your company to abandon it.

We manage the disposition of all critical assets – generator, electrical gear, UPS, PDUs, CRACs, heat rejection units, fire suppression systems, access floor, racks, etc. We will create a web-based decommissioning plan that you can monitor 7x24 and enable you to address more pressing matters.

We understand that minimizing your costs in dealing with an expended asset is a primary concern. We leverage our relationships, built up of over 30 years, in the Data Center industry to determine how best to achieve that. We also make sure assets are disposed of properly and all work is documented.

Our Point of View

In your long list of priorities, getting rid of assets is not one of them. Let Fodere take care of it. If we can find someone interested in your data center, then we can save the cost of decommissioning it. A Data Center greater than 10 years old has few assets that can be re-sold.

We Work Differently

We spend time upfront with our clients iterating on a SOW until you feel comfortable. In addition to empowering our clients to have significant input into the creation of the SOW, it provides an opportunity to see how we work and get to know us. This build confidence in the relationship and results in a tighter, better financially targeted SOW.

Our clients seek independent advice to solve difficult issues. As a third-party, we are the outside voice and don’t bring organizational bias with us. Fodere’s guidance will always be aligned with your organization’s goals.
